National Holiday Gift Show

The 34th annual National Holiday Gift Show returns to Hara on Thanksgiving weekend, November 28 - 30, 2014. It's not only one of the largest indoor craft and gift shows in the state, it's a Miami Valley Holiday tradition! Thousands of shoppers will be browsing through over 370 booths featuring arts, crafts, collectibles, ceramics, personalized items, toys, holiday and home decor, floral wreaths, arrangements and much more! Show hours are Friday, November 28 and Saturday, November 29 from 9 am to 6 pm and Sunday, November 30 from 12 noon to 4 pm.

The GemStreet USA Show & Sale makes a stop for the first time in Dayton, featuring a plethora of fine gems, jewelry, beads, crystals, minerals and fossils to the Hara Complex December 5-7.

“For years, we’ve had requests from Ohio and Indiana residents to bring our show and sale to the Dayton area,” says GemStreet organizer Jane Strieter-Smith. “We produce shows all over the Midwest, including Cincinnati, Cleveland and Buffalo, and are excited to be in Dayton just in time for the holiday shopping season.”

The 2013/2014 FHL Commissioner's Cup Champion Dayton Demonz host the Watertown Wolves on Thursday, December 11 at 7:35 p.m. Doors will open at 6:35 p.m. Tickets are $10.50 general admission to the general public, $8.50 general admission for military, seniors and kids under the age of 12. Youth hockey players pay only $7.50 and must be wearing either a team jersey or team sweats to receive the youth hockey price ticket. Tickets can be purchased at the Hara Arena Box Office, online at Ticketmaster.com or by calling Ticketmaster at 1-800-745-3000.

Bill Goodman's Gun & Knife Show - December 20 & 21

Bill Goodman’s Gun & Knife Show features war memorabilia, hunting accessories, guns, ammunition, knives and other related items for gun and knife collectors. Show hours are Saturday, December 20 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, December 21 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is $8 for adults, $1 for children under 12. Patrons can shop 'til you drop at over 170 booths that include crafts, clothing, jewelry, painted glass, decor items, lapidary, pottery, potpourri, collectibles and much more. An admission of only $2 buys you a full and unique shopping experience. Show hours are Saturday, January 24 from 9 am to 5 pm and Sunday, January 25 from 10 am to 4 pm. Nowhere else but Hara!

Dayton Metro Library Book Sale - April 10-12

The Dayton Metro Library’s Semi-annual Booksale returns to Hara’s East Hall on Friday, April 10 through Sunday, April 12. Thousands of hardbacks, paperbacks, audio cassettes, CDs, and videos will be available at deeply discounted prices. On Sunday, patrons can purchase all the remaining inventory they can carry for $1. Event hours are Friday, April 10 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Saturday, April 11 from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and Sunday, April 12 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Admission and parking are free.
